Effective date: April 28, 2026 · Last updated: April 28, 2026

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using appstock.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and AppStock ("we," "us," "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time as described in section 14.

In plain English

By using AppStock, you agree to these rules. We provide valuation estimates as a reference, not as financial advice. Don't abuse the service, don't claim our content as your own, and understand that valuations are estimates — not guarantees of what your app will actually sell for.

2. Use of the service

AppStock provides a free valuation calculator, methodology documentation, optional paid PDF reports, and educational content about app and SaaS valuations. You may use the Service for personal or business purposes, subject to these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use AppStock. If you're using AppStock on behalf of a business or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Valuations & methodology

The valuation estimates provided by AppStock are fair-market estimates based on our published methodology and verified comparable sales data. They are intended as a reference point for negotiations, planning, or general understanding of business value.

Valuations are not:

Actual sale prices for businesses depend on many factors outside any valuation framework, including buyer competition, deal structure, market conditions at time of sale, and negotiation outcomes. AppStock makes no guarantee that any business will sell at, near, or in any relation to our estimated values.

If you need a formal appraisal for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes, consult a certified business valuation professional.

4. Accounts & communications

AppStock currently does not require user accounts for basic functionality. When you provide an email address (e.g., for a PDF report or newsletter), you agree that we may contact you about:

You can unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

5. Intellectual property

Prohibited use:

6. User-submitted content

If you submit content to AppStock — including comparable sale submissions, contact form messages, methodology feedback, or any other voluntary submission — you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, modify, and publish that content in connection with operating and improving the Service.

You represent that any content you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge, doesn't infringe anyone else's rights, and doesn't violate these Terms or applicable law.

We may review, edit, or remove user-submitted content at our discretion, including for accuracy, relevance, or compliance with these Terms. We're not obligated to publish any submission.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these rules, with or without notice.

8. Third-party services

AppStock may contain links to third-party websites and services (e.g., brokers like Empire Flippers, Acquire.com, FE International). These are provided for convenience. We don't control, endorse, or take responsibility for third-party content or services.

Any transactions you enter into with third parties (including broker referrals) are solely between you and that third party. AppStock may receive a referral fee for connecting you to certain third parties; we'll disclose this when applicable.

9. Disclaimers

We do not warrant that:

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPSTOCK AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITIES, OR LOST DATA — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE'VE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) $100 USD or (b) the amount you've paid AppStock in the 12 months prior to the claim.

Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AppStock and its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your state, e.g., North Carolina], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in [your county, e.g., Mecklenburg County, NC]. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email to subscribers or a prominent notice on the site.

Continued use of AppStock after a Terms update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you don't agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service.
