The app will automatically format everything for you while writing. When creating a new east, it will set up the title section/page, margins, font, line spacing, alignment, page headers/footers, and more.
References, in-text citations, figures, tables, and more will also be formatted.
With a new update, the app has added another citation style—Harvard. That joins APA, MLA, and Chicago.
Writers can now also add multiple references to a citation.
Finally, the app supports a Table of Contents feature. Add it in going to Settings > Extra Sections.
Essayist is designed for the iPhone and all iPad models. It can be downloaded now on the App Store for free. There is also a Mac version available.
A subscription is needed to use the app. There are two different payment options – $4.99 per month or $29.99 yearly.
Both of those options include a free trial.
